The beautiul Bangaram is besides
Agatti the only tourist island on the Lakkadives. The island lies in a wonderful
big lagoon which is surrounded by an excellent sandy beach.
You won't find luxury on Bangaram as there exist a law for environment protection
- that's really important. You can relax on this island and forget the daily
worries as you won't have television, telephone or even the news.
The 30 bungalows are furnished very simple but are always very clean. Unfortunately
the walls are so thin that you sometimes understand what your neighbours are
talking about - so take care when talking about your neighbours.
The food is mainly Indian style, but sometimes continental menus are served.
The bar offers a quiet place to have a drink in the evening, to feel the warm
sun during the sunset on your skin and the cool sand on your bare feet.

The underwater world
is still in a very good condition as there are only two tourist island in the
Lakkadives and therefore not many tourists have been there so far.
Most of the time there are only small groups of divers which go together to
a dive site. There are so many things to see like wonderful coral blocks as
well as the various fish everywhere.
On the reef walls - which go down some hundred of meters - you have the chance
to see big sharks. If you are not lucky to see one there you can be sure to
find whitetip reef sharks or nurse sharks at the other dive sites.
From the most colourful coral fish over moray eels, turtles, barracudas to napoleons
you see anything under water.
Not to forget the stingrays and the eagle rays as well as the trips to the old
wrecks.
