The Dolphin Dream is a simple
and comfortable dive boat. It offers space
for 12 guests. The cabins are air-conditioned
and simply furnished. Instead of doors you
find curtains to close the cabins. In the
beginning it looks strange but it is no
problem at all as you cannot hear the other
guests. There are 2 showers/toilets for
all the guests. The bathrooms are spacious
and clean and no problem to share. The big
saloon is good for having your meals and
for chilling. On the outer deck there is
another table where you can enjoy your meals.
The meals are served in buffet style and
are good in a typical American way.
The diving platform is not very big. But
it's enough big as not all divers jump in
the water at the same time. To prepare for
diving is a very relaxed thing on the Dolphin
Dream as you will never have to hurry up.
After a dive you come up and your tank will
be filled immediately so that you can go
back in the water as soon as possible.
The crew is very friendly and helpful and
offers a great service.

Diving
from the Dolphin Dream is something totally
different from diving at other places. The
dive sites are between 5 and 12 meters deep.
The boat anchors for a long time at the
same dive site. That means you can dive
as long as you have air in your tank. There
is only little to worry about the non-decompression
time as the dive sites are that shallow.
If you are low on air you surface, go back
to the boat, have your tank filled and go
back to the sharks. Usually you knee in
the sand and wait for sharks. Well, waiting
is not the right word as there are sharks
around all the time!! You will see Lemon
Sharks, Caribbean Reef Sharks and Tiger
Sharks. With some luck you can see several
tiger sharks at the same time. The animals
are shy in the beginning but come closer
and closer until they are only an arm's
length away from you.
The most famous dive sites are Tiger Beach
and Fishtale and they live up to their name!
The Dolphin Dream offers snorkelling with
dolphins as well and with some luck you
can have many dolphins around you - a great
and unforgettable experience.
This tour is recommended together with Erich
Ritter's SharkSchool. He teaches a lot about
the behaviour of sharks and the Bahamas
are one of the best places to see for real
what you have been taught before. The only
problem after diving with Dolphin Dream
is: How can this trip get beaten?
