Diving

All resorts on Sipadan has been closed in the meantime und the island is now a nature reserve.
Sipadan is the home for lots of turtles who lay their eggs there in the sand. The island is lush vegetated and has a beautiful sandy beach.

Sipadan can be reached within 20 minutes from Mabul. All dives take place at the famous drop offs of Sipadan.
When diving around Sipadan you will meet always huge numbers of turtles and whitetip reef sharks. One of the favourite dive sites is "Barracuda Point" where you can see shoals of barracudas and jacks. Also grey reef sharks and blacktip reef sharks out in the blue water, zebra sharks, napoleon wrasse, batfish, leaffish, frogfish, nudibranchs, scorpionfish and many other things can be seen at all other dive sites.
Very special is dive site "Drop Off", where a gigantic cave lies on 18 meters - even you cannot go inside without a special training and equipment, the entrance area is already fascinating.
