The island is situated in the South
Male Atoll of the Maldives and can be reached by seaplane or speedboat.
The slightly oval shaped island is covered with palms, trees and bushes and
offers lots of places in the shade. The island is also surrounded by a beautiful
white sandy beach.
For the guests there are 60 bungalows, which are simple but convenient furnished.
Unfortunately the restaurant is not an open-air-restaurant like you can find
them on many other islands (it is separated for smokers and non-smokers and
has an air-condition). For breakfast and lunch the meal is served on a buffet.
For dinner there are 4 menus to choose from.
Beneath lots of different water activities Villivaru is also an island where
you just can hang around and relax in the sun.

More than 40 dive sites
are reached from Villivaru. You can find all kind of typical Maldivian dive
sites like Giris, Thilas, Farus, Canals, Corners and Outer Reef dive sites.
Who likes to watch sharks should go to the canal of Guraidhoo. Who likes it
a bit bigger goes to the Manta-Point. This is a cleaner station where mostly
manta rays can be seen.
But there are also a lot of small things to be seen like the colourful nudibranchs
and lots of different coral fish - so many you can't count all. And last but
not least lots of turtles live at these dive sites.
When diving the wreck at Kuda Giri (the ship had been sunk on purpose) you can
find batfish as well as lionfish. The reef itself is covered with lots of different
corals and many small creatures call it their home.
