I made the Cod Hole Tour with the Taka 2 in 2002 I believe it was. Given the conditions and the good team I still talk about the 5 days tour. It was simply amazing and maybe the best colours and visibility I ever had. I still condider to go back to the reef. |

I have chosen do my term thesis paper for college on Sharks and the threat of Extinction. Along with the paper I have to do a presentation. I am glad to do this because I will get the message out to atleast 30 more people. I have always thought it[Shark Finning] was the wrong thing to do. I was fearfull of Sharks after the film Jaws came out, but I went in the ocean anyway. Thanks for your site and all the others on the web. I wish people would have as much passion for saving Sharks and our oceans as they do for getting lower oil prices. |

I think it should be illegal in all country's to cut off the fins of sharks and then through the sharks back in the ocean, leaving the poor sharks to drown. SO you should do something about it!! |

Bin gerade per Zufall auf "Eure" Seite gestossen.. :-) Wirklich toll und informativ. Mein Freund und ich werden vom 01.05.06 - 15.05.06 zu Euch auf die Insel stossen. Leider können wir das Tauchen noch nicht im Voraus buchen, da sich mein Freund bei seinem Beruf (dem Eishockeyspielen) seinen Arm gebrochen hat, und jetzt noch nicht ganz sicher ist, ob das Anfangs Mai wieder alles i.O. ist. Sharks are a very important to the ecosystem and to the planet.They play an important role on the oceans food chain and if we alter that chain that has been steady for millions of years, it will affect us tremendedly. It also disgust me that Sharks are not even killed by a survivor reason, they are mostly killed by sport fishing and for making a horrible SOUP that could be made better with chiken or something else, the other ting that makes me sick is the cruelty in which they are killed, they cut their Fins and throw the into the sea half dead and half alive. Also they have given Sharks the name of men eater and other nicknames that have no sence if looking to a chart that shows that sharks ony kill 5 to 9 people per year and humans kill about 100 million of them, so I think we are the ones that should be called KILLERS. And finally I just want to add that not only Sharks have been here before us and that they are the most beautifull creatures in the ocean, but the fact that people kill sharks without even thinking it twise just to make their profits go up. Shark killing is not only a Cruel and Brutal bussines or sport, its damaging our world by taking one of the most perfect machines there has ever existed |

You guys, we have got to stop this!
If it goes too far, which it is. It WILL be the end of sharks and our biological balance. These creatures have done nothing to deserve this. People get eaten or bitten by sharks because they are tespassing into their territory. The ocean is not a playground, nor swimming pool. It is a home for wildlie, that will fight back when threated. Well sharks cannot fight back against finning, and if they cant then we will. Nothing desreves to be treated the way these poor sharks are. The sharks fins are cut off, and then the defensless shark is carelssly thrown back into the ocean. THEY SUFFOCATE, and are left to be eaten by other fish. WE CANNOT ALOW THIS TO CONTINUE!!
WE HAVE TO FIGHT FOR THE SHARKS!!!!!!!!!!
people think that sharks are pedators, well we are the real pretators in this world, we are the main factor that contibutes to the death of sharks. Every three seconds another shark dies. Think about that.
STOP FINNING

Eure Seite erinnert mich zum Einen an die schöne Zeit auf Vakaru zum Anderen an die vielen abgeschnittenen Haiflossen die ich letztes Jahr in Vietnam zu sehen bekam.
Auf jeden Fall habe auch ich jetzt nach-haltige Probleme beim Fisch essen - gut so!!!
